Mr. Dylan

Meet Dylan, a Tenor vocalist from Oro Valley, Arizona. With a passion for vocal education and growth, Dylan is pursuing a degree in Music Learning and Teaching at Arizona State University. He has a background in choral music, participating in Arizona Regional and All-State choir throughout high school. While being part of multiple choirs, Dylan was also an instrumental musician, playing guitar, trumpet and trombone, and all kinds of pitched percussion in various ensembles.

At Arizona State, Dylan has developed his voice in classical/operatic styles, musical theater, and pop music working with Dr. Stephanie Sadownik. He especially found a passion for pop a cappella music. Dylan directs, performs in, and arranges for an a cappella ensemble, Priority Male at ASU, competing every year in the International Competition for Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA). Dylan has also spent time at Scottsdale’s Greasepaint Youth Theater music directing Beauty and the Beast in 2022 and Aristocats Kids in 2023.

Dylan believes that anybody can learn to enhance their singing ability, and devotes himself to facilitating vocal growth in all of his students. He excels in diagnosing vocal technique and working on solutions to help a student work through it. The voice is a very personal and vulnerable part of a person, and Dylan believes it’s extremely important to teach the voice with careful language, kindness, and patience. Students will learn foundational techniques in singing in whatever style they choose to perform.
