Julie Ann Neuberger Studio Director and Piano Instructor
Education: Ms. Julie Ann Neuberger, earned a Certificate of Graduate Studies in Piano Performance and a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy from University of South Carolina. She also graduated magna cum laude from Gordon College with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance.
Experience: During her graduate studies in South Carolina, Ms. Neuberger served as a piano faculty member of the University of South Carolina Community Music Program and taught for her private piano studio. Ms. Neuberger has performed as the pianist in several chamber groups, as well as in solo piano recitals in South Carolina, Massachusetts, and Maryland. She has served as a piano adjudicator for several piano festivals associated with the Music Teacher's National Association and a masterclass clinician for several events. Julie Ann has over ten years experience in beginning to advanced piano instruction to all different ages. She also has experience in vocal and choral coaching as well as accompanying. She was a member of the Gordon College Women's Choir as well as the University of South Carolina Chorus.
Julie Ann Neuberger has lived in the Valley since 2007 and founded The Scottsdale Studio of Music in 2009. Ms. Neuberger is currently a member of the National Guild of Piano Teachers, the Music Teacher's National Association, Arizona State Music Teacher's Association, the Phoenix Music Teacher's Association, and the East Valley Music Teacher's Association. Ms. Neuberger's professional memberships allow her students to compete and participate in motivating and skill-building competitions, festivals, and other music events.
Life Background: Julie Ann resides with her husband in Scottsdale, where she runs her home studio The Scottsdale Studio of Music. Before attending her college and master's programs, Julie Ann grew up in southern Maryland and was home-schooled from kindergarten through 12th grade. This home-school background has given Julie Ann a unique perspective on the value of one-on-one teaching methods and has affected her lifetime goal to open a music studio.
Julie Ann also enjoys many outdoor activities in the beautiful Arizona sunshine, including hiking, jogging, and swimming. Julie Ann's main passion and love is teaching and classical music. Since childhood, her goal was to be a piano teacher. Besides playing the piano herself, Julie Ann loves to listen to classical music as well as teach and inspire others, children and adults alike, to love and appreciate music.
