I reached out to The Scottsdale Studio of Music about a year ago, not too long after my daughter expressed interest in learning to play the violin. From my first interaction over the phone, the experience has been nothing but positive for both my daughter and me. Her teacher is personable and consistently supportive, and has been able to address my child’s needs and strengths in such a way that progress has been natural and truly enjoyable- my daughter skips into and out of lessons with an enthusiasm that can’t be feigned. The lobby space is large and welcoming, where parents like myself can relax in a peaceful environment during lessons. Furthermore, the level of communication with her teacher is excellent; coordinating the schedule and being informed about recitals and updates has been seamless. SSOM's teachers offer an array of approaches. When my son had time and was motivated, he worked on as many as ten pieces simultaneously. When his schedule got busy with the demands of school, his teacher lightened his load. SSOM is warm, welcoming, and incredibly family-friendly. Recitals are supportive environments where you often enjoy performances from multiple siblings taking classes at the studio. My son's teacher supported him through all phases of his music journey. In fact, he plans to continue taking virtual lessons from the studio while he's away at college. I regularly recommend SSOM to people interested in finding a fabulous place where their kids can grow their music talents.
