Performance Opportunities
Our students have the opportunity to share the music they have been working on with others. Friends and family are invited to join us, and pre-college and adult students alike can sing classical music, arias, Broadway tunes, pop songs, or any other literature they have been learning in their voice lessons. Furthermore, if two students wish to collaborate, they can even sing a duet with an accompaniment.
Fun Voice Lessons in Scottsdale
We help students, from children through adulthood, have fun in their singing lessons. We take pedagogy seriously, and students do learn challenging music, musical principles, and technical drills and exercises. But we help students work on the music that they want to learn, and we don’t force students to sing in any particular style. We help you pursue the genres and sound that you love, all with great technique.
Learn the Fundamentals
Our teachers have advanced degrees from respected music programs, and they love to share what they’ve learned with their students. Learn the science behind correct breathing technique, sound production, and more, and learn to sing without tension or effort. We also teach note reading, basic theory, interpretation and more, and you will be a complete musician who can sing beautifully.

We Help Pre-College and Adults
We have experience with all ages and skill levels at Scottsdale School of Music.
Many of the students we see are in middle school or high school. They bring choir pieces to us, audition materials, songs for musical theater productions, their favorite Taylor Swift or Aretha Franklin songs, and more. We instill correct technique, and if their voice still changes after we start lessons, we help them with fundamentals that will help them adjust. Furthermore, we help students expand their range – many pre-college students do not yet know for sure if they are sopranos, altos, basses, baritones, or tenors. We also have the expertise to help talented high school singers prepare for college or conservatory auditions.
We also love to help adults with voice lessons. Some adults already have a background in music, and we enjoy helping them learn more challenging repertoire or take their singing to the next level. But still others have no experience, think they are “tone deaf,” or simply want to feel more confident when they sing or speak. We will work with you regardless of your skill level, and we want you to love the sound of your own voice.
A Variety of Genres, Techniques, and More
Do you want to sing Mozart or Verdi operas? That’s great - we can help. Or do you want to learn songs from Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, or Porgy and Bess? That’s fine too. We also focus on fundamentals, but we can help you with genre-specific techniques like runs, scales, belts, mixed-voice, chest voice, and more. All you need to do is tell us what you hope to accomplish. If you aren’t sure, that’s fine! We can help you choose music that you will enjoy practicing.
